Basic Horsemastership Course

R750.00 per person per month (3 hour session)

This is a practical experience to enable new horse owners to find their feet around caring for their horses, as well as a basic introduction for individuals who are interested in pursuing a EQASA (SANEF) Certificate of Horsemastership, before their final preparation courses at Beaulieu College Equestrian Academy or other certified institution.

Description

  • Basic Stable Yard Skills are covered in combination with Basic Horsemastership.
  • The course duration is 10 months or according to the individual’s preference, consisting of 1 workshop per month for 3 hours, allowing enough time to integrate and keep up with new information.
  • We offer practical experience to enable new horse owners to find their feet around caring for their horses, as well as a basic introduction for individuals who are interested in pursuing a EQASA (SANEF) Certificate of Horsemastership, before their final preparation courses at Beaulieu College Equestrian Academy or other certified institutions.
  • The workshop themes include, Equine Physiology and Behaviour, Health and Soundness, Handling the horse in hand, Grooming, Tack, Blankets and Boots, Feeding and Watering, Stable yard management.
